Thank you for your support and prayers for Lantawood.... and now the next step!‏

Dear Friend
One of the things I'm most proud of about LANTAWOOD is not the number of people that are excited about the new movie industry but the vast opportunities it offers to our community.
As of this afternoon, more than 800 people have signed on to our group to support Lantawood, the NEW industry. For all to benefit, we must take ownership of this grass root movement by making a contribution in talent, kind or in cash, of whatever we can afford.
This has never happened before. No one has ever created a genuine system for Atlanta to become the base for a new movie industry totally independent of Hollywood, commercially viable and involving our entire communities.
It speaks volumes not only about Atlanta as a tremendous talent base, or our dire need for movie industry opportunities and jobs here in the South but the realization of how Atlanta could be base of the new industry.
So many of us have been waiting so long for the time when we could fulfill our creative desires while not having to move from Atlanta. When we could give more of ourselves and feel truly invested in something bigger than the dream of going to Hollywood.
This is it. LANTAWOOD is the opportunity we have been waiting for.
In metro Atlanta alone, we have set up over 100 retail locations to sell Lantawood movies. This is because the community sees the market for a product that is so unique. With the Lantawood Theater© system, “made in Atlanta” movies can now reach the market in a unique way. We begin to invite local movie producers to supply “made in Atlanta movies” for release.
Today we set a new goal:
We need donors ready to support the infrastructural development and growth of Lantawood;
We need individuals ready for free training on how to make LANTAWOOD movies;
We need creative support from actors, designers, stylists, camera operators, directors etc;
We need a community ready to support the NEW movie making industry;
And we need a local media ready to recognize this tremendous local potential.
We need investors ready to invest in the NEW movie industry;
It's time to take the next step. What will YOU do for Lantawood?

For every donation you make, we will be able to open one more Lantawood Theater™ system to sell “made in Atlanta” movies and move one step closer to our target of a viable movie industry representing Atlanta and the South. You will also be creating an opportunity to help someone’s creative career right here in Atlanta, while creating wholesome entertainment and a future career.

Why Lantawood you may ask?
According to Jack Kyser, chief economist for the Los Angeles Economic Development Corp, the entertainment industry -- when humming along with no strike to contend with -- contributes $80 million per day to the L.A. economy, or nearly $30 billion per year. Each $70-million film creates 928 jobs, 697 of which are indirectly tied to the production.
With time and our “vision of Lantawood” this can be achieved in Atlanta.
As we continue to lay the foundation for the new movie industry, we ask you for your support and patronage.
It's going to take every one of us giving our all to networking, organizing, producing and promoting LANTAWOOD as a common front to make it happen.
So many people said we would never get Lantawood off the ground.
But our community is proving every day that Atlanta is ready for LANTAWOOD, the movie industry of the South.
Thank you,
Namso Akpan
